现代世界秩序总体表现为一种"二元性"秩序结构,这种二元结构也就是现代资本主义世界秩序的内在张力,即中心与外围、个人与共同体之间的张力。中国传统"天人合一"的天下观念在现代资本主义世界秩序中该如何破解其现实生存困境,实现自身内在超越,从而达到与世界和谐共生之境界?解决这个问题的关键就在于推动天下观念的现代性转型,在对现代世界秩序客观审视的基础上,深入挖掘中国传统天下观念的现代价值意蕴,进而重构中国的世界观。

The modern world order is generally characterized in a ＂dichotomy＂, which is embodied in the inherent tension of capitalist order between the central and the periphery, the individual and the collective.The traditional Chinese concept of ＂Domain under the Heaven＂, based on the notion of Heaven-Humanin-One, is in a realistic dilemma. How should Chinese go beyond the dilemma and reach a new situation of harmonious co-existence with the rest of the world？ The key lies in modern transformation of the concept. It needs to reconstruct the concept on basis of scrutiny of modern world order and exploration of the modern values of the traditional concept.
