育人育才并重趋势下对大学英语教学内容改革的思考

Reflections on the Reform of College English Teaching Content with Emphasis on both Morality and Expertise Education

以育人育才并重趋势为视角,分析当前大学教育及大学英语学科教育的现状与弊端,提出改革当前大学英语教学内容的必要。大学英语应是融工具性、人文性及教育性于一体,集语言知识学习、技能训练、人文素养提升及道德教育于一身的多功能课程。根据这一理念,大学英语教学内容改革应压缩教材学时,以留出时间进行技能训练、人文素养提升及德育渗透,及建立网上自主学习资源库,并制定具体可行的教学实践。

It was proposed in the paper that the teaching content of college English had to be reformed on the basis of an analysis of current status and defects of university education as well as college English teaching with emphasis on both morality and expertise development. Since college English is taken as a course integrating instrumental, humanistic and educational attributes and covering language learning, skill training,quality improving and morality developing,the following measures shall be taken in the reform such as reducing the time spent in textbook but giving more time to skill training,humanistic quality improvement and moral education,establishing online autonomous learning resource database and designing a feasible teaching plan.
