With the increasing automation of sewage treatment plants,unattended systems have gradually been applied.This article outlines the implementation characteristics of unattended systems in sewage treatment plants,highlights the new hardware system and software functional goals that is required to be unattended,gives the requirements of unattended systems for security systems and industrial control systems,points out the functional advantages and development trend of the unattended systems of the wastewater treatment plants.
