In the process of engineering construction, geotechnical engineering survey provides design and construc- tion site information to the quality and safety of the whole project and the cost of the project. For geotechnical engi- neering investigation, groundwater survey is an important part of the survey report, and is a very concerned problem for engineers. This paper briefly introduces the types and characteristics of groundwater, and briefly describes the influence of groundwater changes on geotechnical engineering in the process of geotechnical investigation.
