If United Imaging(UI) broke up the monopoly that GE, Phillips,and Siemens once had on the medical market, because of domestic advantages offered by the government, then the ground broken by largescale implementation of UI's high-end Chinese medical equipment in the Japanese market indicates that the company has truly stepped onto the world stage.On September 15 th, Chairman of the Board & CEO of United Imaging, Xue Min, sent out an open memorandum internally, revealing that United Imaging had successfully completed first round fundraising at RMB 3.333 billion. This is the largest privately-raised sum of capital for Chinese medical equipment to date — and it came after only round one of financing.
