基于语料库的optimal和optimum词义辨析

近义词辨析一直是英语学习的一个重点和难点。传统的近义词辨析多是通过字典释义进行的,但是这一方法对很多词无法进行清楚、全面的辨析,特别对词的用法差异无法进行细微辨析。本文借助语料库语料真实而又丰富,检索方便,快速等优点,从词频、搭配,近义词等方面对近义词进行全方位对比分析,为近义词辨析提供了新的视角。

Synonyms discrimination has always been a difficulty and emphasis in English learning. Traditionally, definitions and examples from dictionaries are taken to illustrate shades of differences between synonyms. However, in this way, many synonyms still cannot be discriminated in all direction and clearly, The usage of the synonyms cannot be distinguished. By taking use of the advantages of the corpus, such as the large volume, authentic materials, fast and convenient retrieval, the COCA-based synonym discrimination method can make an all-around description of synonyms in terms of their use in different registers, collocations and near synonym. This method can provide a new perspective for synonym discrimination.
