营卫权衡是指营卫之间动态的相互作用。从现代意义上说,营卫权衡是指代谢与免疫系统在内外环境各种扰动因素作用下相互作用,相互影响,自主涨落和调节、重新回归和维持有序稳态的过程和机制。权衡相失、权衡相夺是营卫权衡失常的病理机转,脉诊是判断营卫权衡状态变化的重要方法,"平治于权衡"是中医营卫治疗的根本目标。
