北美独立战争是北美人民争夺政治独立的运动,更是一场北美人民扩大利益的战争。北美独立运动既不是英国的"暴政"所致,也不是某些政客刻意鼓动的结果,而是北美殖民地内部因素特别是经济因素发展的结果。北美独立运动不是北美殖民地人民由于英国的"高压政策"而被迫进行的被动反抗,而是经济实力蓄积的北美人民为争取更多的自由和更大的发展空间对英国殖民主义管辖的积极主动突破。

The independence war is a campaign for political independence of people in North America, and also a war to expand their interests. The independence movement is neither the result of the British ＂tyranny＂ nor the deliberate encouragement of some politicians. The movement is not the passive resistance of the colonial people in North America forced by the British ＂high pressure policy＂, but the positive breakthrough of the people with accumulated economic strength to strive for more freedom and greater development space.
