The Political Philosophy of Feng Qi

在冯契哲学体系中,政治哲学思想虽然不占据核心地位,却是其智慧说在社会政治思想领域中的重要体现。基于唯物史观的立场,冯契主张哲学与政治是不可分的,政治社会发展推动哲学变革,哲学发展为社会变革提供理论支撑。在中国哲学发展历程中,古今之争、中西之争构成了时代发展的核心话题,也体现了中国古代及近代政治哲学的价值选择路径。在政治观念上,冯契推崇近代以来的民主、平等、自由等现代性价值,对建基于民主、平等、自由基础上的社会主义充满了信心。他认为,社会主义与人道主义、个性解放与大同团结并行不悖,是人类社会发展的理想方向。

Although political philosophy does not occupy the core position of Feng Qi＇s philosophical system, it is still an important embodiment of his theory of wisdom in the social and political fields. Based on the historical materialism, Feng Qi believes that philosophy and politics are inseparable and integral since philosophic evolution or transformation is driven by political and social development, while philosophical development provides theoretical support for social revolution. In the development of Chinese philosophy, the debate of the ancient and the modern and that of China and the West are dominated and influence different value choices in ancient and modern Chinese political philosophy. Feng＇s political philosophy advocates democracy, equality, freedom and other modern political values. Having full confidence on the establishment of socialism under the basis of these values, he claims that socialism and humanitarianism, personal liberation and a united commonwealth world can run parallel. This is the ideal direction for the development of the mankind.
