摘要
迄今为止,aLIGO/Virgo共探测到5次恒星级双黑洞并合和1次双中子星并合发出的引力波信号,宣布了引力波时代的全面到来.双白矮星的绕转和并合产生的引力波信号则是未来空间引力波探测器的主要探测目标.双星演化是这些双致密星形成的主要途径.本文从恒星演化出发,对这些双致密星引力波源的形成图像和面临的不确定性进行系统地介绍.这些不确定性主要来自大质量恒星星风、恒星后期演化、超新星爆发、双星演化的基本过程等.
The advanced LIGO/Virgo have detected gravitational-wave signals of merging double black holes and merging double neutron stars, opening a new window for astronomers to study the universe. The coming space gravitational wave detectors, such as Laser Interferometer Space Antenna (LISA) and TianQin, are expected to focus on gravitational-wave signals from double white dwarfs in close orbits and their mergers. Binary evolution is believed to be the major channel for the formation of those double compact objects. In this paper, we review the scenarios for the formation of various types of double compact objects and the uncertainties in the scenarios. The uncertainties are related to the stellar wind of massive stars, stellar evolution in late stages, supernova explosion]natal kicks, and the basic unsolved problems in binary evolution, etc.
