On the Courses and Teaching in Basic Phase for English Majors in College

高校英语专业基础阶段的主要任务是培养学生的语言技能。这一阶段的课程设置及教学指导思想都应当围绕这个阶段的目标来设计,而不能违反语言习得规律,孤立地训练某项技能。为了解决基础阶段教与学中存在的一些薄弱环节,语言教师需要认真审视此阶段的教学原则,教学目标和课程之间的关系。

It is to cultivate students' language skills that the main task is in the basic phase of teaching for English majors in collage.In this phase,the course setting and teaching direc-tions are supposed to be arranged on the basis of this phase's aim,according to the rules of SLA.None of the skills can be improved in isolation.In order to solve the problems of teaching and learning in basic phase,the language teacher needs to check the principles,aims of teaching and deal with the relationships among courses correctly.
