Compiling a Population Map Using Statistical Data

地图可以直观地表示统计部门海量的统计信息资源。以人口专题地图的设计编制为例,阐述了统计地图的特点,编制人口专题地图收集统计资料的要求,利用统计资料的原则,对地图进行主图设计、附图设计及地图的表示方法进行了研究,对如何利用统计资料编制各种不同类型的专题地图具有参考价值。

Maps can visually show a vast amount of statistical information. Based on the design and the compilation of population maps,this paper expounded the characteristics of statistical maps,the requirements of collecting statistical data,and the principles of using statistical data. The design of main figures,attached figures and representation of maps were studied. It sheds light on the use of statistical data to compile different kinds of thematic maps.
