This paper discusses the origin and development of the important components of the five types of beam foundations in China＇s timber construction, revealing the evolutionary logic of the Chinese wooden building beam components from Neolithic to the Sui and Tang Dynasties. And the law of development has created conditions for the construction of early wooden buildings in China.
