From Writing to Building——A Study on Water-managing Feature of Gardens in Tang and Song Dynasties Based on Chinese Gardening Literature

唐宋园林的造园手法及风格与明清园林差别巨大,目前对于唐宋园林理水手法的研究仍有欠缺。文章选择唐宋园记作为研究材料,运用文本分析法,指出唐宋园林理水具有自然灵动、野趣盎然的特征,强调水在唐宋园林中的主体地位。并以履道里宅园为例,探寻早期园林水景审美意趣和园林造境的奥妙,以期为传统造园精髓对现代景观实践的应用提供借鉴。

The gardening skill and styles in Tang and Song Dynasties are very different from those in Ming and Qing Dynasties, and there is still a lack of research especially on the water-managing feature of gardens. In this paper, Chinese gardening literature in Tang and Song Dynasties is selected as the research material. Using the text analysis, this paper points out that the water-managing is the most important part of garden building in Tang and Song Dynasties.Taking lvdaoli garden as an example, this paper also aims to explore the waterscape aesthetic attitude in ancient gardens, so as to the application of traditional gardening practices.
