闽台民间信仰研究展开较早,并取得丰硕的成果。百年来的闽台民间信仰研究在中国大陆、台湾地区有着不同的问题意识和学术史脉络以及研究方法,并逐渐形成了历史学、宗教史、社会史3种主要研究路径。归纳总结20世纪以来闽台民间研究的学术发展历史,有助于推进未来研究,尤其体现在3个可能的面向:历史学与人类学的继续合作、横向的社会史视野、宗教学视野下的推进。在此意义上,闽台民间信仰研究仍有提升的余地。
