Reflections on the Urban Modernity:taking Yang Ke's poetry as an example

杨克作为20世纪90年代以来的重要诗人,其价值在于从经验主义的角度对城市中的人与物进行了生命本相的发现和描写,为中国现代诗歌贡献出不同于以往的生命体验和诗歌意象。尤其重要的是,杨克不再将城市及商品作为人类发展的对立物,而是将其作为新的生存空间,发现并构建现实存在的诗意。

As one of the major poets in 1990 s, Yang Ke studies and depicts the essence of life from human to thing in empiricism terms. He makes a great contribution to modern Chinese poetry by creating life experiences and poetic images different from those in the past. Above all, Yang Ke does not treat city and commodity as a barrier against human development, but as living space and attachment, and composes poetic images in a secular world.
