权勿用原型为全祖望考

The statement that Shi Jing was the archetype of Quan Wuyong originated from the postscript written by Jin He for The Scholars,however,since there existed fundamental disparities between the two characters in the activities of their respective life course and disposition,Shi Jing was not exactly the archetype of Quan Wuyong.By a comprehensive research and comparison of the two mens personal relations,family names,life experiences and disposition,the archetype of Quan Wuyong was undoubtedly Quan Zuwang,a versatile eastern Zhejiang scholar.From Zuwangs personal experience we could have a better understanding about the character Quan Wuyong and the related descriptions in The Scholars.By aptly utilizing the facts and rumors in or against Zuwangs favor,Wu Jingzi created the classical fictional image of Quan Wuyong.
