Technical Analysis of 2017 New Version IEC Standard for Portable General Purpose Luminaires

本文解析了可移式通用灯具标准IEC 60598-2-4以及灯具安全基础标准IEC 60598-1新旧版本的技术更新要点,从基础标准针对夹子灯的夹玻璃试验判定、可移式通用灯具标准的适用范围、导线截面积到防尘防水等多方面都增加了详细的技术要求。可移式灯具的厂家可更新现有的测试报告和证书,尤其是户外可移式灯具使用IEC60598-2-7标准的报告,也要及时更新成最新的版本IEC 60598-2-4:2017。

In this paper,updated critical technical points of the new and old version have been analyzed for the portable general purpose luminaire standard IEC 60598-2-4 and luminaire safety fundamental standard IEC 60598-1. Some detailed technical requirements have been changed and improved from pressing glass test compliance for clip luminaire in fundamental standard,applicable scope for portable general purpose luminaires and wire cross-sectional area to ingress protection for water and dust,and so many aspects. Manufacturers of portable luminaires can update the current test report and certificate,especially for outdoor portable luminaires the report using IEC 60598-2-7 also should be timely updated to the new applicable version IEC 60598-2-4： 2017.
