Blast furnace production has the characteristics of uninterruptible and continuous. The skip host is the critical equipment of the charging system of a blast furnace. The characteristics and classification method of winding engines in blast furnace were introduced in the paper,mainly on the structural characteristics,usage and maintenance,and characteristics of high reliability,simple maintenance,good appearance,economic occupied area,etc. The structural features,parameter optimization of components and parts,usage and maintenance of coaxial shunt type winding engine were also introduced in this paper.
