In this paper,the patent application situation of elemene was analyzed. The focuses were put on the overall situation of patent application,valid patents in China,as well as patent technologies. The purpose is to provide useful references for the late stage development of elemene RD strategy,patent protection strategy and distribution of intellectual property in domestic pharmaceutical companies.
