Application of next generation sequencing technology in genotoxicity research

摘要 生物技术的进步和成本的降低激发了下一代测序(next generation sequencing,NGS)技术应用范围的扩大。尽管基因组学、转录组学及表观遗传研究表现的是不同方面,但是它们都可以使用测序来进行研究。随着NGS技术发展,使其在医学领域里也得到了广泛的应用,尤其是在肿瘤研究和精准医疗中显示了前所未有的优势。因此,也吸引了遗传毒理研究者,用NGS技术研究诱变剂引起的不同突变类型,相关研究正在不断深入。本文通过总结NGS技术在遗传毒理学方面的研究进展,简单剖析NGS技术的发展,NGS技术在遗传毒性研究的优势与劣势,及其成为常规的遗传毒性研究方法的可能。 Advances in biotechnology and lower costs sparked an enormous range of next generation sequencing( NGS) technology. Although genomics,transcriptomics and epigenetic studies are completely different aspects,they can all be studied by using sequencing. Recent years,the development of NGS technology has also made it widely used in the medical field. It shows unprecedented advantages in cancer research and precision medicine particularly. As a result,genotoxic investigators have also been attracted to investigate the different types of mutations induced by mutagens using NGS technology,and research is constantly deepen. In this paper,we briefly analyze the development of NGS technology,the advantages and disadvantages of NGS technology in genotoxicity research and its potential as a general genotoxicity research method by summarizing the progress of NGS technology in genotoxicity.
