外向型汉英学习词典收录字母词初探

A Preliminary Study on the Inclusion of Alphabetic Words in Chinese-English Learners' Dictionary

我国权威的内向型汉英词典都收录了一定数量的字母词,而现有外向型汉英词典几乎不收录字母词。文章对此现象进行分析,提出了此类词典收录汉语字母词语的必要性,并探讨了该类词典针对字母词的特性以及词典使用者的特点,在收词立目、排序、标音、释义、例证等方面的处理方法。

A certain number of alphabetic words have been included in domestic oriented Chinese Eng lish dictionaries. However, alphabetic words are not included in any current Chinese English learners＇ dictionaries. This study puts forward the necessity for dictionaries of this kind to include alphabetic words, and discusses the special treatment which should be given to the selection of entry words, en try arrangement, pronunciation, definition and selection of examples with consideration for the special characteristics of alphabetic words and the target users.
