摘要
本文从翻译过程的"关联-顺应研究路向"语用学视角,探讨学生译者与原文作者和译文读者之间的跨文化交际过程。通过自建本科生翻译语料库,结合理论演绎和译例分析,该文透析123份第27届韩素音青年翻译奖竞赛英译汉组The Posteverything Generation的大学生译文的翻译过程,观察他们阐释原文话语和产出译文话语时出现的变异性、协商性、顺应性等情况,并尝试"追溯"学生译者在翻译时的思维状态,揭示学生译者在英语长句汉译策略选择背后的心理动机,弥补以往翻译研究在长句汉译中缺失对学生译者思维运作过程的关注。
This paper intends to probe into student translators' long sentence translating process from a pragmatic perspective of Relevance-Adjustability Theoretic Approach. It focuses on a crosscultural communication between the student translators,the original author and the target readers. The thesis builds an undergraduate corpus based on 123 copies of student renderings of The Posteverything Generation in the 27 thHan Suyin's Award for Young Translators. Through some research methodologies,such as theoretical deduction and corpus-based example analysis,it observesvariableness,mediation and adjustability in the student translators' translating process.Besides,the paper,by tracing back their mental workings,explorestheir motivations behind their target linguistic choices in the translating process,thus compensating for previous researches which failed to focus on students' translation mode of thinking.
