Born in 1929,the national model worker and member of the National People＇s Congress Shen Jilan not only witnessed the development of the People＇s Republic of China,but also created her glorious life.Her proposal of equal pay for equal work catered to the CPC＇s call for women＇s participation during the early stage of the founding of New China,which has exerted profound influence all over China.Her constant loyalty to the CPC and persistence to follow the socialist road created the historic opportunity for the development of Xigou Village.She has integrated the spirits of hard working and honesty in performing her duties and working for the public interests into her own life,which reflected the CPC member＇s firm political beliefs.As a leader,Shen Jilan actively participated in the revolution and construction of Xigou Village.She helped to mobilize and implement the CPC＇s lines,principles and policies and organized the socialist reform of the countryside as a decision maker.Working has become Shen Jilan＇s basic activity,which helped her leave her permanent footprint in the vast land of the countryside.
