Types and Evolution of Theaters in Zhejiang Province in the 20^(th) Century

20世纪以来,浙江剧场的基本类型主要有神庙剧场、茶园剧场和现代剧场三大类。其中,茶园剧场的存在时间较短、分布范围有限,神庙剧场和现代剧场是更具普遍意义和系统支撑作用的类型。作为典型的中国传统剧场,神庙剧场虽然在20世纪中后期完全丢失了城市的领地,但却一直屹立在浙江的广阔乡村里,为浙江农村演出市场提供了发展的空间载体。作为舶来品的西式剧场,浙江现代剧场从主要城市一步步扩展到集镇乡村,为浙江城乡的舞台艺术演出提供了舒适便利的物质基础,有力地促进了浙江舞台艺术的繁荣发展。

There are three types of theaters in the 20th-century Zhejiang： temple theaters, teahouse theaters and modern theaters. Teahouse theaters existed for a short while and were few in number. Temple theaters were typical Chinese theaters. In the late 20th century, they disappeared from cities, but has been running in the rural areas of Zhejiang. Modern theaters spreaded from cities to villages, providing a better environment for Zhejiang＇s stage art.
