美国西部电影《狂风沙》主人公杰西·詹姆斯作为美国历史上著名的不法分子,在电影中却被塑造成为同邪恶资本主义势力英勇斗争的英雄形象,导致这种差异产生的原因引人深思。通过从新历史主义批评视角来解读电影《狂风沙》,通过对电影的背景与人物角色、电影文本与历史的互文性、文学与历史间颠覆、抑制与共谋关系,以及电影中权力话语的分析,揭示出该电影所弘扬的美国主流意识形态及价值观。

The protagonist of American Outlaws,an American western film,was a famous outlaw in American history,who was however shaped as a hero who fought bravely against evil capitalism in the movie. This thesis will try to analyze the movie in the view of new historicism criticism to illustrate the way of narration,the intertextuality of the movie context and the history,the overturn and suppression between the literature and history,and the power discourse in the movie,and disclose the promoted American mainstream ideology and values.
