The biggest difference between the semi-submersible vessel and the general vessel is that the former has the function of using the diving deck to load, which is realized mainly by the discharge ballast system. Problems and solutions occurring during the whole process of a 5t semi-submersible vessel＇s design, construction, debug, test and operation are analyzed, and features and attentions of applications of the air discharge ballast system to the semi-submersible vessel are summarized.
