2017年12月12日,“2017两江创意活动月暨两江新区国际艺术轴启幕”在重庆市两江新区拉开帷幕.“两江国际艺术轴”的方案征集立足于将重庆地域特色与国际化、艺术的当代性与多元化相结合,学术性与公共性相结合等原则,邀请到十几位国内外著名艺术家及设计师参加,其中波兰雕塑家格泽戈兹·格维雅茨达（Grzegorz Gwiazda）和他的作品《前进》（Progression）也参与到展览之中.格维雅茨达贯通19世纪中欧学院风格和传统雕塑技法,并融汇20世纪的先锋艺术于其中,他将古典元素转化为先锋前卫艺术并融合基于当下文化、政治和社会环境的极权主义、表现主义、超现实主义、极简主义和未来主义的艺术内核.格维雅茨达以他独特的知识和经验,运用20世纪的艺术风格,创造出其惊人的现代性.他的作品有着显著的特质：作品直呈人性,没有伪善和借口,他将人类最好和最坏的事实揭示于众;衰病退化是其主题之一,年轻的艺术家熟练精准地塑造老朽之躯,他将我们每个人的未来最糟的一面提前置于我们眼前,令我们无处可逃地直面未来死亡的前序;力量,无法压制的生命之力深藏于躯体之中,不论作品形象健康或是衰病与否,艺术家都能将这种从容的力量深植其中.

2017 International Art Axis Unveiling Ceremony in Chongqing started on Dec 12th, 2017, in Liangjiang New Area, Chongqing. The recruitment of plans for International Art Axis is based on the principles of combining Chongqing local characteristics with the internationalization, contemporariness of art and diversity, integrating academic nature with publicity. A dozen of famous artists and designers were invited, including Polish sculptor Grzegorz Gwiazda and his work Progression. Gwiazda is familiar with middle Europe＇s academicism in 19th century and traditional sculpture techniques, and includes Avant-garde of 20th century in it. He transforms the classical elements into Avant-garde, and combines current culture, politics, totalitarian, expressionism, surrealism, minimalism in the society with the artistic core of futurism. With the personal knowledge and experience, Gwiazda has utilized 20th century artistic style to create amazing modernity. His works are distinctly characteristic： manifesting human nature directly without excuse or hypocrisy. He just reveals the best and worst truth to the public. Aging and illness are one of his themes, the young artist has skillfully created the decrepit body with precision, displaying the worst side of everyone to us ahead, which makes us confront with the preface of future death. The irrepressible forth of life is hidden deep inside the body; no matter the image of work is healthy or sick, the artist is capable to root the power in it.
