Experience of Pang Yuqin in the Treatment of Endometriosis

庞玉琴教授将子宫内膜异位性疾病辨证为湿热证、血瘀证和湿热瘀阻证。子宫内膜异位性疾病有缓有急,类型复杂,且患者临床症状表现程度不一,因此治疗该疾病在总的治疗原则不变的前提下,亦应分清轻重缓急,急则治标,缓则治本。例如,以痛经为主诉就诊的患者在月经期下腹痛严重的情况下以化瘀止痛为主,非月经期清热利湿,逐瘀止痛;以卵巢异位囊肿为主诉就诊的患者,则以化瘀消癥为主;以不孕日久为主诉就诊的患者,则分清造成不孕症的病理因素,综合治疗。

Professor Pang Yuqin differentiates endometriosis as dampness and heat syndrome,blood stasis syndrome and dampness and heat obstruction syndrome. Endometriosis can be acute or gradual,and patients show different clinical syndromes in the clinic,so the treatment should depend on the illness condition,conforming to the general treatment principles. Treat the syndromes on acute conditions and the root on gradual conditions. For instance,patients mainly troubled by severe dysmenorrheal during the menstruation should be treated by removing stasis and relieving pain,and by clearing heat,removing dampness and stasis,and relieving pain out of the menstruation period; patients mainly troubled by ovary ectopic cysts should be treated by removing stasis and eliminating disorder; patients mainly troubled by long-term infertility should be comprehensively treated based on the pathological factors.
