The background of the era of big data puts forward new requirements for the application of statistics talent training. This paper analyzes the status quo of the teaching of statistics major courses, and combined with the requirements of the training of applied talents, proposes suggestions on the organization of statistics major courses and the implementation of case teaching,with a view to providing a useful reference for the transformation of teaching methods in statistics.
