Developing Traditional Cultural Heritage and Promoting Urbanization: A Case Study on the Teahouse Culture of Linhuan Ancient City of Huaibei City

作为一座位于黄淮海平原南端的千年古城,临涣经历了千年的历史变迁,培育了众多历史文化名人,留下了弥足珍贵的文化遗产,发达的水陆交通使这里孕育了从明代后期发展至今的茶楼文化。城镇化建设是当下我国转变经济发展方式的重大举措,这对于古城临涣既是机遇也是挑战,将传统文化融入现代化建设是必然的选择,深入挖掘和保护古城茶楼文化,促进当地的城镇化建设是达到双赢的必经之路。

As a millennium ancient city located at the southern end of the Huang-Huai-Hai Plain, Linhuan has experienced the historical changes of the past millennium, cultivated numerous historical and cultural celebrities and left precious cultural heritage. The well-developed land and water transportation here nurtured the teahouse culture in the late Ming Dynasty, and it is still developing today. Urbanization is a major measure for China＇s transformation of its economic development methods,which is both an opportunity and a challenge for Linhuan ancient city. Integrating traditional culture with modernization is an inevitable choice. Further developing and protecting the ancient city＇s teahouse culture and promoting local urbanization is the only way to achieve a win-win situation.
