Simple tidal station has many advantages such as low investment and quick effect, constituting a beneficial complement for the long-term tidal station. This paper makes a systematic summary of the construction and application of simple tide stations installed within the Xiamen region, and puts forward the construction scheme for a simple tide station. The scheme has been proved efficient in practice, which can solve the problem of long-term, continuous and accurate tide observation under certain environment conditions. So it can improve the social and economic benefits and has good value of promotion and demonstration.
