Dream to Homeland——Low Library, St. John's University Lived in the Memory of Alumni

圣约翰大学罗氏图书馆是一所我国较早设立的教会大学图书馆。在草创时期,馆舍迭经迁移;在稳定发展时期,藏书日渐丰沛;在战乱时期,馆藏受损而寻求联盟。圣约翰大学罗氏图书馆可供本校学生自习、阅读,查检所需资料,借阅指定参考书籍,广览各种西文书籍。圣约翰大学罗氏图书馆是校友怀念母校时经常被提及的场所,它既寄托着校友的特殊情感,也成为校友回馈母校的载体之一。

Low Library, St. John＇s University was an early missionary university library in China. After the relocation in the very beginning of the library＇s establishment, it stepped into steady developing period and the collection became increasingly abundant. During wartime, Low Library sought alliance because of being damaged. Low Library provided functions of sutdents self-study, reading, searching for information, lending specified reference books, and scanning western language books. As a place often talked about and mentioned by alumni, Low Library carries alunmi＇s particular emotion and they contribute back to their alma mater by supporting the library.
