This paper introduces the main faults in the mechanical and hydraulic systems of the shearer during its operation, and the main parts which are prone to the faults, and analyzes the fast judging methods and the overhaul methods of the faults, mainly including the ferrography analysis method,temperature monitoring method, artificial intelligence diagnostic method.
