通过梳理文献,对江南制造局于1896年出版的《西艺知新》一书中的肥皂制造法进行研究,详细论述了书中关于制皂器具、原材料的选用,不同肥皂的制造方法和步骤以及注意事项等,通过与现代肥皂制造工艺进行比较,指出现代制皂方法对清末时的肥皂制造工艺进行了传承和改进.

By reviewing literature,The Latest Knowledge of Western Science published by Jiangnan Manufacturing Administration in 1896 was studied.In this paper,the manufacturing tools of soap production,the selection and use of raw materials,the manufacturing methods and steps of different soaps and dos and don＇ts were discussed.Compared with modern soap production,the soap production in Qing Dynasty had been inherited and improved.
