With the development of the global economy in recent years, the traditional geospatial structure of our country stillhas difficulty in meeting the needs of rapid development and construction of the current city, which is also due to the relatively latestart-up time of the construction of the smart city in our country. Compared with some developed countries, the scale is still to beimproved. Therefore, in the actual development and construction of China, it is more necessary to use Internet information technologyas geographic information data to achieve the development of smart cities. Therefore, this paper will study the function of surveyingand mapping geographic information in the construction of intelligent city, and put forward some related suggestions through the ap-plication of this technology, hoping to provide more help to the economic construction and development of enterprises, thus promotingthe effective construction and development of smart cities.
