试论秦文化“芈字纹”瓦当图案内涵

Research on connotation of “Mi character” eaves tile patterns in Qin's culture

秦东陵出土"芈字纹"瓦当在美国展出后引起学术界热议,该瓦当图案此前曾被定为"锚纹"、"花苞纹",但都不准确。在分析单体图案的基础上结合秦文化瓦当图案构成规律,考释其实为一种树叶纹——或来源于枳树(臭橘)。

The discovery of ＂Mi character＂ eaves tile patterns at Qindongling has aroused heated discussion in aca-demic circles since the exhibition in the US, it had previously been designated as＂anchor lines＂and＂bud lines＂,but it＇s not accurate. Based on analyzing the regular pattern in Qin＇s culture, this paper verifies that it is actually aleaf vein, which might be found from the code tree（orange tree）.
