Research on the Essence and Contemporary Value of Confucian Gentleman's Personality

儒家思想对"君子"和"君子人格"的多番论述体现出儒学追求的完美理想人格和崇高精神境界。儒家君子人格历经历史洗礼,与新时代的内在价值观一致。文章通过探索儒家君子人格的历史、现实、理想的三重维度,对其思想中的当代理论价值与现实意义做出简单梳理,力求取之精华用以推动君子人格的当代养成,从文化自信、童蒙之教、高校德育及终身学习等多方面来构建新时代的君子人格。

The multiple narrations of “gentleman” and “gentleman personality” in Confucianism demonstrate the perfect and ideal personality and lofty spiritual realm pursued by Confucianism. The Confucian gentleman personality has been historically baptized and is consistent with the intrinsic values of the new era. By exploring the three dimensions of the history, reality and ideal of the Confucian gentleman personality, this paper simply sorts out the contemporary theoretical values and practical significance of his thoughts, and strives to obtain the essence to promote the contemporary cultivation of gentleman personality. From the aspects of building cultural self-confidence, teaching of children and youth, receiving moral education in colleges and universities and lifelong learning, a gentleman personality in a new era will be fostered.
