《红楼梦》以花喻女子,寄托了作者的女性观和对女性的赞美和同情,也表达了作者的文人情怀。《红楼梦》描写女性,不仅是对污浊现实、男权社会的反思批判,更抒发了作者的文人情怀。小说给女性安排的结局,是对女子命运的深深的哀挽,而在这哀挽中也蕴含了对文人命运的自我体认。在迷惘无奈的感伤中,文人小说家走完了自己的心路历程。

A Dream in Red Mansions symbolized women with flowers, which expressed the author’s attitude toward women- the sympathy for women and praise to them. It also expressed the author’s literati feelings. The description of women in the novel expressed not only the critical reflection to the dirty patriarchal society, but also the author’s literati feelings. The ending for women in the novel expressed mourning for women’s fate which showed a self recognition of literati’s fate. In the lost and helpless sadness, the literati novelist finished his own journey.
