Governor of Henan Tian Wenjing and His Local Social Governance

田文镜于雍正年间任职河南巡抚,值雍正帝力行改革。为了配合雍正帝的革新之举,他从整饬弊政、严行保甲、清查积欠、整顿教课、改良习俗等方面,采取了一系列措施,进行大规模整治,使得雍正一朝的河南省得到了快速发展,社会面貌有了较大改善。

Tian Wenjing served as governor of Henan during the Yong Zheng period,when the emperor Yong Zheng was carrying out a reform.In order to cooperate with the reform of Yong Zheng,he adopted a series of measures for large-scale renovation from perspectives of correcting maladministration,strict execution of Baojia system,reorganizing teaching,and improving customs,which led to rapid development in Henan province and greatly improved the local society.
