This paper mainly introduces the research progress of limestone calcining method, alkali-limestone calcining method and pre-desilication-sintering method for extracting alumina, and makes a comparative analysis of its process. It is believed that pre-desilication-limestone sintering is the most economical and feasible method for alumina extraction.
