Hui minority literary criticism in 1980 s came into being in the general background of ideological emancipation in the new era. With the promotion of the compiling of Literary History of Hui Minority and Selected Works of Hui Minority Literature,Hui minority literary criticism emerged to the surface from its historical vacancy and became visible. This essay tries to give it a definition of academic rationality and conclude the basic features of Hui minority literary criticism in 1980 s. Meanwhile,through detailed investigation of the self establishment of Hui minority literary theory in 1980 s and substantial analysis about the problems in the practice of Hui minority literary criticism,this essay is to present a comparatively complete appearance of Hui minority literary criticism in 1980 s,reveal the experience and value provided by Hui minority literary criticism in 1980 s,and promote the construction of discourses for critical theory of Hui minority literature.
