“三美”、“三化”和“三之”译论下的貂蝉风采--《三国演义》中一首诗歌的英译比较

The Presence of Diao Chan with “Sanmei”,“Sanhua”and “Sanzhi”Theory——A Comparative Study on a Poem in Three Kingdoms

本文从许渊冲文学翻译理论中的"三美"、"三化"和"三之"出发,选取了《三国演义》第八回描写貂蝉样貌和心理的诗歌,对该诗的两个英译本进行了比较分析。指出了诗并非不可译,明确了"三美"、"三化"和"三之"理论在诗歌翻译中的重要作用,即能够在传达意义的基础上传情,兼顾诗词音韵与形式,实现译语读者的良好阅读感受,使实现文学翻译的最高目标——翻译文学成为可能。

This paper analyzes and compares two English versions of a poem desmentalactivity of Diao Chan, a figure in one of Chinese Four Great Classical Novels Three Kingdoms , from Xu Yuan - chong ’s theory of “ Sanmei” , “Sanhua”. and “ Sanzhi”.It is pointed out that poems are not untranslata-ble and that this theory are important for poem translation,making the ul t imate goal of li terary translation-trans-lated literature possible through conveying both feeling and ideas,ryyme and form and accommodat ing target read-ers.
