Paradigms of Western Cultural Consumption Theories and Future Integration

在西方的消费社会阶段,文化消费日趋繁荣。西方学术界对于文化消费理论的研究有四种成熟的范式:西方马克思主义思想家将文化消费视为资本主义意识形态控制的新形式,消费异化让人失去了批判和反省的能力;社会学研究者将文化消费放在广阔的社会背景下,探讨影响文化消费的复杂外在与内在因素,以及文化消费与社会阶层的区分;经济学家的文化消费理论着眼于研究文化经济与文化消费运行的内在规律以及运行机制等问题;生态学研究者则注重研究文化消费对于调整产业结构、改变经济发展模式、营造生态文明和建设新型社会的促进作用。要对文化消费进行深入的探索,我们必须整合多学科的、跨学科的研究。只有这样,才能形成相对完整的文化消费研究体系。

In the stage of Western consumer society,cultural consumption is booming day by day.Western academic circles have formed four mature paradigms for the research on cultural consumption theories. Western Marxist thinkers regard cultural consumption as a new form of capitalist ideological control,and consumption alienation has made man lose the ability to criticize and reflect on the real society. Sociological researchers put cultural consumption in a broad social context to explore the complexities of the external and internal factors that influence cultural consumption,and the distinction between cultural consumption and social strata. The economists＇ theories of cultural consumption focus on the inherent laws in cultural economy and cultural consumption,their operational mechanisms and other issues. Ecologist researches emphasize on how cultural consumption adjusts industrial structure,changes the economic development mode,creates ecological civilization and constructs a new type of society. In order to form a research system for relatively complete cultural consumption,we must integrate multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary research.
