The electric power security and low price are the important guarantee for the construction and operation of large IDC. UPS plays an important role as the basic guarantee of IDC system operation. The not controllable, risk of system switching, risk of short term capacity of UPS lead to the security hazard for the stability of the system, while the power supply mode of HVDC reduces the change levels, the overall efficiency is obvious, the trend is irreversible. This paper introduces the power supply situation of UPS, and the high voltage DC power supply of HVDC,for reference.
