Objective To investigate the different expression level of cell adhesion molecule 1(CADM1)in ectopic endometrium and eutopic endometrium of patients with endometriosis(Ems)and normal endometrium. Methods Totally 20 cases of ectopic endometrium and eutopic endometrium from Ems patients as well as 20 cases of normal endometrium were collected.Immunohistochemical staining and Western Blotting were used to detect the expressions of CADM1 in endometrial tissues of three groups at cell level and protein level. Results Positive expression of CADM1 staining was lowest in ectopic endometrial(37.80±6.21%),followed by that in eutopic endometrium(58.40±8.32%),and it was highest in normal endometrial cells(95.20±13.20%).The difference was statistically significant(F=4.97,P=0.028).The relative expression of CADM1 protein was lowest in ectopic endometrial(2.10±0.10),followed by that in eutopic endometrium(2.80±0.20),and it was highest in normal endometrial cells(3.70±0.20).The difference was statistically significant(F=10.12,P=0.017).Conclusion CADM1 gene is low expressed in ectopic endometrium and eutopic endometrium of endometriosis patients, and its expression deletion might be related to the metastatic growth of endometrial lesions.
