摘要
石黑一雄的作品《被埋葬的巨人》以英国中世纪不列颠人和撒克逊人之间的冲突为背景,展现了英国民族塑形时期的一段晦暗的历史图景,背后蕴含着作者独特的历史思维和文学想象方式。作品通过展现记忆与真实之间的关系,表达了对历史真实性的质疑;通过时空并置的记忆书写,挖掘了历史断裂处的沉默话语;通过书写不同个体的记忆,呈现了多重历史意识和声音。正是在这种书写方式中,石黑一雄达到了对话历史、反思历史的写作目的。
Kazuo Ishiguro's work The Buried Giant is plotted according to the clash and conflict between Saxons and Britons in Medieval British history,and unfolds a gloomy historical picture when the nation was being shaped by multiple forces. The author shows his special historical perspective and unique way of history representation in literary imagination. By showing the relation between memory and reality,the work doubts about the authenticity of history; by juxtaposing memories in different time and spaces,the silent historical discourses are explored; by writing individual-based memories, the multiple historical voices and consciousnesses are presented. It is in this kind of writing that Kazuo Ishiguro engages this work in dialogues with history and reflections on history.
