Episodic memory is individual's memory toward specific time, events happing in specific place.Monitoring ability of episodic memory is essential to the research of episodic memory. This article analyses the importance of monitoring ability of episodic memory from three aspects:firstly, the development of memory monitoring capability is an important component for episodic memory;secondly, the processing level of episodic memory and accuracy of memory monitoring can interact with each other;thirdly, the research on monitoring ability of episodic memory has practical significance. This paper explains the absolute and relative accuracy calculation method of assessment for episodic memory. To solve the problem that whether children's age can suit confidence assessment toward children's episodic memory, this paper puts forward the question form while assessing, methods to collect confidence judgment, scale complexity and accuracy index which can be applied to children at corresponding age.
