Objective: To observe the values of the imaging features in the diagnosis and differential diagnosis of chondroblastoma (CB) by surveying the imaging features of CB. Methods: The imaging data of 21 cases of CB proved by pathology were retrospectively analyzed, 21 patients all had x-ray films, among them, 19 cases were scanned by CT and 12 cases were examined by MRI. Results: Among the imaging data of 21 patients, X-ray films manifested that there were 20 cases of destruction of bone, 15 cases of peripheral hardening ring of the focus and ten cases of clear spots, patchy, ring and semiring calcification in the foci. The results of CT of 19 patients demonstrated clear bone destruction and hardening ring, among them, there were 16 cases associated with clear spots, patchy, ring and semiring calcification, five cases with periosteal reaction and 11 cases of peripheral soft tissue swelling. MRI examinations of 12 patients showed clear-cut long T1, long and short mixed T2 signals, seven cases with clear bone marrow edema (BME), nine cases with proximate arthroedema, three cases with periosteal reaction, one case with soft tissue mass and three cases were intensified obviously. Conclusion: The imaging of CB are characterized mostly to different degrees, Comprehensive analysis of X-ray, CT and MRI plays an impotant role in the diagnosis and differential diagnosis of CB.
