The plain English campaign advocates clear writing styles so that the messages can be easily accessible to the readers. It is worthwhile for us to use for reference in our Chinese-English translation. To transfer the message rapidly and effectively, we should follow the principles for concise language, apply Newark＇s Communicative Translation Strategies, liberate us from the bond of the old-fashioned ideas about styles, take the readers＇ concern and demand into consideration when it comes to cultural and linguistic barriers concerning different standards of concise language between Chinese and English.
